How to Resize an Image
- Add the image. Drag a JPG, PNG or WebP onto the box, or click to choose one (up to 10 MB).
- Choose the size. Type a width or a height in pixels - the other side follows so nothing is stretched - or pick a preset such as 1920px or 1280px.
- Resize and download. Press Resize, check the new dimensions and file size, then download it or press Publish & get a link.
Resize to an Exact Size
Fill in both width and height to set a box the picture must fit inside, for example 1200 by 630 for a social preview. The image is scaled until it fits, without being stretched, so one side may come out shorter than the box. To get exactly that shape, first crop the image to it, then resize.
Make a Photo Smaller
Phone photos are often 4000 pixels wide or more - far bigger than a web page, an email or a listing needs. Resizing to 1920px or 1280px wide keeps them sharp on screen and cuts the file size a lot. If the file still needs to be smaller after that, lower the quality with Compress Image.
Make a Picture Bigger
You can enter a size larger than the original when the output is JPG, PNG or WebP. Enlarging cannot create detail that was not in the picture, so a small image blown up a lot will look soft; for the server-side formats (AVIF, BMP, TIFF, ICO) the image is only ever made smaller.
