Sign in with Google. If you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name, email address and Google account ID with us. We use the email address and account ID to create your account and sign you in, and your first name to suggest a username. We do not receive your Google password, contacts or files. You can also set a password in your account settings and sign in without Google.

User Content. Images, videos, comments, metadata, and associated file information you upload are stored and processed in order to provide hosting and sharing functionality.

Automatically Collected Information. We may automatically collect technical data including IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, timestamps, and interaction data. This information helps us maintain security, analyze performance, and improve the Service.

Cookies and Similar Technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, manage sessions, remember preferences, analyze usage, detect fraud, and support advertising. You may control cookies through your browser settings; however, disabling cookies may limit certain features of the Service.

2. How We Use Information

12. Browser Extensions and WordPress Plugin

YourImageShare Capture. We offer YourImageShare Capture, an optional browser extension for Google Chrome (and other Chromium-based browsers) and Mozilla Firefox, available from the Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons. It lets you take a screenshot of the tab you are viewing, annotate it, and save it or publish it to YourImageShare.

• Screenshots. The extension takes a screenshot only when you click a capture button or press a capture keyboard shortcut, and only of the tab you are on. Screenshots are processed and annotated locally in your browser. They are sent to us only when you click Publish; downloading a screenshot or copying it to your clipboard sends nothing to us.
• Your API key. To publish, you add your YourImageShare API key in the extension's settings. The key is kept in the extension's local storage on your device and is sent only to yourimageshare.com with each upload, so the upload is added to your account. You can remove the key from the extension at any time, and regenerate it in your account settings, which stops the old key working immediately.
• What we receive. When you publish, we receive the image together with the same technical information as any other upload through our API (such as IP address, browser type and the time of the request). We process it under this Privacy Policy like any other upload, including moderation.
• What the extension does not do. It does not collect your browsing history, read pages you do not capture, include analytics or tracking, or show advertising, and it does not contact any server other than yourimageshare.com. We do not sell data from the extension or transfer it to third parties, and we do not use it for any purpose other than capturing and sharing your screenshots.
• Removing the extension. Uninstalling it deletes the data it stored in your browser, including your API key. Images you have already published stay in your account until you delete them.

The use of information received from the browser extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. The Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons are operated by Google and Mozilla under their own privacy policies.

YourImageShare Media Offload for WordPress. Our optional WordPress plugin stores a website's Media Library on YourImageShare instead of the website's own server. It is installed and configured by the website's administrator, who adds the Upload-only key from their YourImageShare account (and the full API key only if they want deleting a file in WordPress to delete it from YourImageShare too). The plugin is available from the WordPress.org Plugin Directory.

• What it sends. When a file is offloaded (a new upload, a bulk offload of the existing library, or a single file the administrator chooses), the plugin sends the image or video file and its file name to our API, using the administrator's key. Files are marked private: they load wherever the website uses them, but get no page of their own on YourImageShare and are not listed publicly. Files larger than 20 MB are sent in pieces. The plugin does not send post content, information about the website's users or visitors, or any other site data, and it has no analytics or tracking.
• Who is responsible. The files are uploads to the administrator's account, processed under this Privacy Policy and our Terms like any other upload, including moderation and the removal of location data (EXIF) from images. The website's owner decides which files are uploaded and remains responsible for their own website and its privacy notice; the plugin adds suggested wording to the WordPress privacy policy guide for this.
• Visitors of websites that use the plugin. Offloaded images and videos are loaded by visitors' browsers from yourimageshare.com, so our servers receive the visitor's IP address, browser information and the address of the page, as any web server does. We use this information only to deliver the files and to keep the Service secure, as described in sections 1 and 2.
• Deleting and removing. If the administrator turns on remote deletion, deleting a file in WordPress also deletes it from YourImageShare. Uninstalling the plugin removes its settings from the website; files already offloaded stay in the account until they are deleted there.
