How to Compare Two Images
To compare two images, add the before image on the left, the after image on the right, and drag the slider. When it looks right, share it as one link or download both side by side.
- Add both images. Drop each one on its box, click to choose it, or paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V (it fills the first empty box).
- Check the slider. Drag it, or tab to it and use the arrow keys. Swap puts the images the other way round.
- Name it. Add a title and change the Before and After labels if you like.
- Share or download.Create share link uploads both images and gives you one link that opens the slider; Download side by side saves a single JPG.
What People Compare
- Photo edits: the original next to the edited version, colour grading, retouching or a removed background.
- Upscaling and compression: an AI upscale, a sharpened scan or two export settings, to show the difference in detail.
- Home and garden: renovations, repairs, cleaning and landscaping.
- Games and graphics: mods, texture packs and graphics settings, from the same camera position.
- Design work: a website, logo or app screen before and after a redesign.
Tips for a Clean Comparison
Use the same size and framing for both images. The slider lines the two pictures up in one frame, so a change of crop or angle shows up as movement rather than as the change you want to show. Screenshots taken at the same window size and photos taken from the same spot work best.
Need to line them up first? Crop or resize one of them, and blur anything private before you share.
